This setup eliminates the need for an external voltmeter for measurements by utilizing the integrated DMM in the 3706A.Intended to buffer test signals from the Hall sample to the measurement instrumentation, the effect card can transfer current from a source to a Hall sample. When utilized with Keithley's 3706A mainframe, the 3765 offers the switching functionality to measure Hall voltages as low as 50 nV and sample resistances exceeding 10 TΩ.The 3765 features the option to operate in either low resistivity or high resistivity mode. In high resistivity mode, the input impedance surpasses 100 TΩ, the input bias current remains under 50 fA, and the output resistance is 10 kΩ. The input voltage ranges from -8 V to +8 V in both operational modes. For tasks that demand higher voltages, it is recommended by Keithley to utilise a 6221/6517B system. Proper planning of cabling and sample connections is essential to fully leverage the functionalities of the 3765.
